You should exercise at least 30 minutes a day. But if you don't have time to exercise for 30 minutes altogether you can split the time into intervals. But make sure they are at least 10 minutes long because if you exercise for less than 10 minutes it will not effect you.
In my opinion, you have no neeed to lose your weight. You should have to focus to maintain your health and fitness which is most important part of our life.

I'm not sure exactly how many but I do know that hula hooping is not a very active activity so if you are doing that to burn your calories you should be doing that for a very long amount of time and/or another active sport/activity.
Children should get regular exercise as soon as possible (basically once they can run with good coordination). Childhood obesity is at an all time high and its best for children to develop the habit of being active a very early age.

If you want to make the mind very sharp and healthy, you should eat a balanced diet full of omega 3's, get regular sleep, and perhaps do puzzles and word games. You should also stay physically active; exercise has been shown time and time again to have a positive influence on brain health.
