the word your probaly looking for isn't 'meditate', but actually the word pray is better suited. Sikhs pray to god. It depends. There are some Buddhists (monks, in particular) who spend many hours each day meditating. There are others who adhere to Buddhist ritual who do not meditate at all.
Some Buddhists meditate all day every day (the monks living in the forest, mainly found in china do that). Others meditate twice a day, once in the morning and once in the night and on full moons. Some meditate only once a day, and some only meditate when they have time to do so. But it is really not specific, but most buddhists try to always meditate on the night of a full moon. And the meditation is worship.
There is no one particular day in the week, which is better or more auspicious for Sikhs to go to the Gurdwara. Each day is treated exactly the same as any other. The majority of Sikhs will tend to go on a Sunday, merely due to convenience.
