The gestation period is 28-32 days. Within a few hours of kindling (giving birth), she can be bred again.
Rabbits can become pregnant on the day they give birth. So she could be pregnant as many as 10 times a year.
This is not at all recommended.
They could get pregnant up to 6 times a year if there is a buck and doe present

12! The gestation period of a rabbit is only 28 to 32 days. That means she could have a litter every month.
My lab had around 6 pregnancies.
When does (female rabbits) aren't spayed, they have "false pregnancies": they go through all the nesting behaviours, even though they aren't pregnant. False pregnancies are physically and emotionally stressful on rabbits. A rabbit who thinks she's pregnant may also become aggressive and territorial and will be difficult to handle. Putting an end to false pregnancies is one among many reasons why it's widely recommended that you spay your rabbit.
# On average, how many teen pregnancies are there per year # How many teen pregnancies result in a birth of the baby? # How many teen pregnancies result in an abortion? # How many teens give their babies up for adoption? # How many teen pregnancies are a result of unprotected intercourse vs. protected? # How many teen pregnancies are a result of intoxicated intercourse? # How many teen pregnancies result in a family that stay together (including the father of the baby?)
A female rabbit can begin nesting and showing signs of preparing for birth after mating, whether conception took place or not. Mating will cause the female to begin spontanous ovulation so unless the male is sterile, she will most likely conceive on the second attempt.
If your female rabbit is pulling fur and can't be pregnant, she may be having a false pregnancy. False pregnancies are stressful for rabbits. Spaying the rabbit will prevent false pregnancies, and ovarian cancer, and have other benefits. There are other reasons your rabbit may be pulling her fur: She could have parasites or other skin problems. Bring the rabbit to a vet for treatment. She could be suffering from stress. Learn how to ease a rabbit's stress, and consider what improvements you might make to her lifestyle. See the related questions and links below for more info.
More than 1% of pregnancies are ectopic, and they are becoming more common
If your rabbit is female, this probably means she's pregnant. She could also be going through a false pregnancy, which is something female rabbits do because of their sex hormones, even when they haven't been near a male rabbit. False pregnancies are stressful for rabbits, and stress leads to a low quality of life and even illness, so it's a good idea to spay your rabbit so that it won't go through false pregnancies anymore. There are many good reasons to spay/neuter rabbits. The rabbit could also be under stress, or extremely bored, or ill, or the rabbit could have parasites or another skin problem. See the related questions and links below for more info.
They can have up to 8-10 litters with about 6 kits in each batch so that's........................48 to 60 kits per doe!Wow that's extreme!

I'm sure this has something to do with building a nest. My female rabbit used to pull most of her fur of her back to make a nest when she had phantom pregnancies. It may be that this is what your rabbit is doing.
