During what was called the Battle of Britain, in WW 2, Great Britain was bombed repeatedly for months. Along with the bombings by German aircraft, Great Britain was also attacked by new missiles developed by the Nazi's. The exact number of bombings is difficult to measure as "sorties" by German fighter planes cannot be counted. To fully understand the extent of the bombings, here's one example. For a period of 57 consecutive nights, London faced German bombing attacks.
At different times the Germans had 90% of the city. However, this was only in early phase of the battle. After the initial attack, it slowly declined until the Germans surrendered and retreated westwards back to Germany.
Viking raids certainly ranged between the high hundred and the low thousands, but there are no suitable records to determine an answer.
what did Britain become in Victoria times
Germany committed about 4,000 aircraft to the battle in total, about 6,000 to 7,000 aircrew plus about ten times as many men in maintenance and support roles. Britain had about 2,000 aircraft with 2,500 aircrew plus about 100,000 ground crew, observers and radar operators and command and control personnel. In addition, the Germans bombed all the cities they could reach with their aircraft, menaing that the entire population of Southern England, about 20 million civilians were involved in the battle.
Many artefacts have been found when doing digs in places around Ireland. For example, a lot was found when works were being done on Wood Quay in Dublin to build a new building there in the 1970s. There are old walls of towns and cities that date back to Viking times. Cities such as Waterford are sometimes referred to as being Viking cities. Archaeological discoveries in Scandinavia have found things that are believed to have been stolen from Britain and Ireland. So there is plenty of evidence of Vikings being in Britain and Ireland.
They attack their prey until they are dead. so i say about 4 to 5 times.

The bombing by Germans/Japan in Britain affected us alot because they bombed the strongest cities- e.g the ones who supplied the most for our army. The capital London was also a massive hit. Everybody has blackout times when they had to literally turn off every single light, close their curtains when the patroller came around because if the Germans saw a light they would bomb there causing fatal consequences. Also, the bombs caused fires (look into the blitz!) which meant alot of people died. Some bombs didn't even go off! they are the dangerous ones. Lots of people moved their children to the country side so their children could be safe- this is called evacuation.

Ethiopia is about 5 times the size of Britain.
Journey times became shorter.
The Germans did not invade England in modern times such as during the first or second World Wars. Some German tribes did invade England around the 5th century AD, ending the Roman-British culture established there by the Roman Empire. The main reason the Germans didn't invade in the 2nd world war was the British fought and won against the Luftwaffe in the Battle of Britain, meaning the British had air superiority. It would be suicidal to attempt air or amphibious invasion without air superiority, therefore the Germans didn't invade.
