Traditional Judaism expects us to pray four times a day: Morning, Midday, Mid-afternoon, and Evening. (The mid-afternoon and evening prayers are usually combined.) Some parts of the prayer ritual can be conducted privately, but some prayers can only be said if there's a minyan -- an assembly of at least 10 Jews. There is no requirement to do this in the synagogue, but that's where you are most likely to find a minyan.
Of course, like most "religious" people, we tend not to live up to the ideal ...
Ok,
first of all, it depends on the sect of Judaism, and your personal schedule. Us Jews are not alien's! just as you would go to church on Sundays or Saturday's, we go on Saturdays usually. I can tell though, Jews are far and few between compared to you Xians so it all depends not always once a week though. personally i don't go to synagogue at all because no where did god say it was necessary therefore to me its idolatry in a sense, but again that's just me! i don't want to change anybody that's not my intention
