well they keep breeding while there is a female in the tank and the water conditions are right. you should get at least 1 male and 3 or 4 females or 2 males and 3 or 4 females. you want to get more females than males so the males dont harrass the female. the female can often give birth 3 to 6 times without having to breed again. I remember when my male and this one female bred together and soon after her second birth the male died and she gave birth about 4 more times.then a few months her last birth she dissapeared. Anyway its about 2-3 weeks between births so if your platy is pregnant I hope this helps and good luck!!!!
twice a day i feed my fish on day 1 nothing for day 2 or 3 but feed again on day 4 the more you feed the less chance of having a realy high nitrate level resulting in the death of your fish. Also it will maKE THE TANK DIRTIER
All fish should be fed morning and evening as much as they will eat in a maximum of 15 minutes. They stop eating when they have had enough. Then is the time to stop feeding even if it is before 15 minutes. Any left over food must be removed from the tank befor it goes rotten and poisons the water and fish.
"You" don't feed a platypus because "you" may not own a platypus. They are a protected species, and sensitive to environmental changes.
Platypuses hunt for themselves, and they spend most of their nights in search of food. They require the equivalent of their own body weight in food, and that means a great number of insect larvae and tiny freshwater shrimps and other crustaceans.
Feed all fish in the morning and evening. They should be given tiny bits of food until they stop eating. Never feed for more than 15 minutes at a time.
no
If you have a male and female Platty together I can guarantee that the female is pregnant (gravid) no matter what you think.
tell more about why its not breeding what is its behavior Mabe the platy tank is not suitable for the platy pair try adding more plants and hiding spaces for the fish and feed them more of a variety of foods flake + blood worms+live or frozen foods if possible
I would assume she is "gravid" (pregnant). The fry will be of normal size and should do OK on ground/crushed flake.
There is no reason to do so.
Yes, they can.
When they are big enough to eat it. Use your eyes and brain.
Just wait until it has its fry. You should get more information on how to raise the platy fry such as what to feed them. If you have any other fish in the tank take then out or separate them so they will not eat the fry. Hope this helps, T
They can be pregnant (gravid) at 3 or 4 weeks.
Answer It is the platy's waste.
You should probably transfer it in a cup or trap it. ;)
A platy is a type of tropical fish. It is not a quantity or measure so one can not have a "platy of" anything including guppies.
