President Obama has visited Walter Reed Medical Center at least seven times since he took office, and there may have been other times that were not made public; he has also visited wounded service-members in other hospitals. Like his predecessor, President Bush, Mr. Obama goes to Walter Reed to spend time with wounded members of the military and their families. Reports that President Obama never goes to visit the wounded are erroneous. It should also be noted that his wife Michelle and Vice President Biden's wife Jill have made regular visits, especially in support of the families of the service-members.
