The name "Jehovah" appears over 7,000 times in the entire New World Translation Bible, but as for "mention" of God himself, there are probably more than 3,000 other "references." As in, the statement, "God is almighty" essentially refers to Jehovah through the transitive property because, depending on how you believe, Jehovah is God.

Jehovah is a poor English translation of the Hebrew name of God יהוה (YHWH). Some also translate His name to Yahweh. Which is slightly closer but was originally a word that the Hebrews considered sacred and unable to pronounce. Even the word Jehovah when originally translated was not pronounced the way most preachers in America say it today. It should be pronounced closer the sound YHWH with the J having a sound similar to the American English Ya sound like in the Latin languages that derived from the Greek and Latin in which the word was translated from. When you take a word and translate it from Hebrew to Greek then from Greek to Latin then from Latin to English the spelling and pronunciation will change each time. So today most English translations use the word God a word recognized as the creator to most English speaking people. Many pastor who did not study these ancient and original languages might disagree but they are just repeating what they have heard and been taught by others. I encourage you to look at and study these original languages The Bible was written in long before the English language so you can understand the current translations better. Keep seeking the truth.

Jehovah is sometimes used as an English translation of YHWH, a name for God believed to have been pronounced Yahweh. This name was most commonly used in the Pentateuch by the anonymous source now known to scholars as the Yahwist, but was also occasionally used by the Priestly Source. Other names were used for God by various authors over the centuries, such as Elohim, El Shaddai and Adonai.

It would be hard to count all references to YHWH in the Hebrew scriptures without a searchable digital copy, but the first use of YHWH is in Genesis 2:4.

Zero times. This word is based on a misunderstanding of Jewish custom that began with the first Monks to learn Hebrew, around the 12th Century.

If you are asking how many times the 4 consonants of God's name appear (also called the Tetragrammaton), the answer is 5410.

From a Christian perspective the name Jehovah does occur in a number of translations as Jehovah, in English or as Yahweh In the King James translation.

( 1611 4 times) The Jerusalem Translation, ( as Yahweh) over 6,000 times.

LORD and GOD are not names but titles. The Creator has told us not to take his name in vain. He never ANYWHERE in Hebrew or Greek scriptures told us NOT to use his name Rather he told us to make it known and put it on high. Psalm 83:18 says. " That men may know that thou whose name is Jehovah art the most high over all the earth." KJV.

If we have a family, all in our family have personal names. The first thing we do when our family gets a new pet is to name it. I call my cat Crazy Daisy because it fits well her strange personality. How strange that so many in Judaism and Christendom have ignored or even banned the Use of the Creators name! If you continually called your husband / Wife, Mr / Mrs, they would think it very cold, impersonal, odd. Even quite insulting and impersonal. In Jesus' final prayer to his Father he said he had made known his name to his follower's. John 17:6. Jesus was a Jew and knew well his Fathers likes and dislikes. In describing some important things to pray for and about, Jesus put first in order of importance, the honoring and putting on high the Father's name. Matthew 6:9. True Jews/Christians today should do the same and a number are doing so.

It appears four times in relation to God's name:

Exodus 6:3 - "And I appeared unto Abraham, unto Isaac, and unto Jacob, by the name of God Almighty, but by my name JEHOVAH was I not known to them."

Psalms 83:18 - "That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth."

Isaiah 12:2 - "Behold, God is my salvation; I will trust, and not be afraid: for the LORD JEHOVAH is my strength and my song; he also is become my salvation."

Isaiah 26:4 - "Trust ye in the LORD for ever: for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength"

"Jehovah" appears in three other places which were designated names for places. (Genesis 22:14; Exodus 17:15; Judges 6:24)

Technically none. This is not a Hebrew word. This is a medieval Christian corruption of the name. But it comes from the Tetragrammaton (the 4 consonants of God's name in Hebrew). The 4-consonant name appears 6807 times in the masoretic text, and is usually translated as LORD (all caps) in Christian Bibles.
