its on the transmission its really small some times u need a light to it its towards the front of the car and has a yellow rubberized handle if its a manual trans then there is no dipstick

Take it to a shop and have them diagnose the transmission shift times and booster pressures. The automatic transmission has the ability to compensate for wear over it's life. It could be worn but it adjusts pressures and shift times to compensate.

The transmission was not hooked up right... OR the motor was from ANOTHER Year/model of Honda and it came with the transmission from THAT Year/model. The replacement transmission does not have overdrive so it could not be hooked up electrically or otherwise -- so the light is always on AND the transmission model is only a "2 speed" instead of a "3 speed" transmission or the transmission is not hooked up correctly.
