∙ 7y agoDavid was anointed twice (1 Samuel 16:13 and 2 Samuel 2:4), once by Samuel and once by the men of Judah. Tradition states that David was king from 876 BCE to 836 BCE. Non-traditional opinions place his lifetime at an earlier time.
