Yes, all users, regardless if they're a supervisor or not, will have a contributor level badge. This could be a contributor, bronze, silver, gold, platinum, double platinum, or ruby level badge.
As of February 2011, the Green Thumb badge has been discontinued. The badge was earned by a user who wrote 50 category descriptions. Users who earned this badge in the past are welcome to keep them on their profile.

If a user joins one of the programs on Answers.com - such as the WIT program or the Community Outreach program - the badge of the program replaces that of the initial Contributor badge.

It would be like you are lying about it. I highly don't recomend it because that could get you in trouble and get you banned. This is partly because it's unfair on the users who have rightly earned their badge (they're not handed out like sweets after all), but also because users who are new to the site and unfamiliar with how things work here may ask the less experienced users who've pasted badges illegitimately on their profiles for help and get incorrect/irrelevant advice. N.B. For new users who are not sure who to turn to for advice, the link below shows a list of Supervisors on the site. These are the people who have relatively more experience on site procedures and protocols, and should be able to assist with any queries you may have.
Give the server time to give you your badge. It may take time as the large number of users really takes its tool on the servers. You will get it within a day at most.
