Assuming the car's electrical system is 12 volts, the answer is 12 volts??
36.4 psi
Inside the gas tank.
The fuel pump is located next to the tank behind the right rear tire.
I'm pretty sure it should be around 36 psi.
I own a 1977 280Z automatic and the fuel pump relay is located above the kick panel on the right passenger's side floor in front of the door. You have to access it from under the dash.
The outlet. Most fuel filters are built so that the hermetically sealed end is the OUTPUT. The rounded end is the INPUT.
I have a 74 260z and it's next to the passenger's right foot, just in front of the door. Hope that helps!
fuel filter may need to be replaced or the fuel pump is going out. check all of the fuel lines for moisture. wooden clothes pins work best for checking the lines
temp sensor going bad will cause the engine to dump fuel and foul plugs very quickly.
Nissan 280z's and zx's had external fuel pumps around that psi, and Ford's from the 1980's had external fuel pumps (but it had a higher psi).
Actually the Fuel Injection Relay is located under the dash on the left (drivers) side above the emergency brake line, It can be removed with a phillips screwdriver and remove the two connectors
It's a good question that I have been pondering since a 280Z fuel tank is almost 40 years old. Therefore, there is a good chance there is rust inside and also there is a good chance that you are restoring a car or trying to troubleshoot a fuel problem. Much has been said about "restoring" a fuel tank. That generally means cleaning it out and sometimes lining it with a coating. Therin lie the problem. At the fuel outlet port (the one that goes to the fuel pump) there is a baffle screen. The baffle, which is a cylinder screen attached to the bottom of the tank surounding the outlet port, can get plugged up with the lining compound.
