To remove a U.S. President from office by impeachment, in the impeachment trial more than two thirds of the Senators must vote 'guilty' regarding any of the articles of impeachment passed by the House of Representatives. Since 1959, that has meant at least 67 Senators.

If every senator is present to vote, 67 votes are needed to remove a President. Otherwise 2/3 of those present are needed to conviction and removal.
