In my 72 it is screwed to the firewall above the distributor. It has a post sticking straight out of it with many wires connected to the post and the wires connected to the underside of it which are the horn connections.
Yes. Remove the existing horn or horns, attach your new horn and connect the horn wires. The horn wires will probably have a JEEP wire plug on the end that will need to be removed or altered.
On mine, there are a pair of horns. The push in connector goes into the first horn has a black and a greeen pair of wires. Wiring goes from the first horn to the second with two black wires.
open the hood, behind the grill, it should be on the left side(the horn), disconnect the wires running to it and unbolt it. take your new horn and bolt it on, then run the wires back to the new horn.
find where the horn is and pull the wires off it
To wire up a car horn with a button you first need to run one of the wires from the horn to the battery. Take 1of the wires from the horn and run it to where you want the button to go. Connect the wire to the button and that's it.
the horn relay switch is in the fuse panel or it should be on the horn wires itself
that's a tough question i still have no successfully found the horn its probably in that bundle of wires beside the fuel box and brake wires
on a 97 model the horn is located on the passenger side, just underneath the A/C dryer. you must remove the horn bracket to drop the horn and the 2 wires are then visable on the top of the horn. the bolt to the bracket is a very tight fit ,will probably cost you some skin!
Trace where the wires connect to the horn itself. They should be be able to be dis-connected.
Either pull out the relay or cut the wires going to the horn. The horn is located at the front passenger side of the bumper.
Well first you have to find out what is wrong with the horn and than fix the problem, could be loose wires, horn could be bad, the wires could have rusted. your best bet is to cut the wires, unbolt the horn and hook up a brand new one and then put some wire nuts on there and if that dont work than your wiring is bad.
