A third grader? Well to begin with, their about 8 years old when the game is rated M, meaning mature, which requires you to be 18 to buy it. There is cursing, blood, gore and violence which is a little much for a third grader. And if they play on live they will be exposed to older kids and adults who also play, creating an atmosphere no parent wants for their kid. I'm surprised any 3rd grader is even aware of these games, unless they have older siblings.
