That is 27 cubic feet of dirt! It may not even fit in your half-ton, but weight-wise, you could haul maybe a half yard of dirt.
yes
Hydroelectric power. Wind power. Solar power. Trees. Even Oil over the very long haul may be renewable.
Copper-bearing rock (ore) is blasted underground, scooped up by front-end loaders, taken in large trucks to underground crushers, then hoisted to the surface in skips up one of the shafts. At the surface, the ore is crushed further, mixed with water and other special chemicals to remove the waste rock and float the copper ore so it can be skimmed off, then heated and treated in other ways to purify the copper and separate it from any other metals. Most of America's copper mines are open pit mines, huge digs into the ground using massive trucks and cranes to move the covering dirt and haul the ore off to be processed.
Portage is the act of carrying the cargo and the boat from one place, such as the bottom of rapids, to another place, such as the top of rapids. A Haul over is a smooth place on an isthmus where a boat is dragged across land between bodies of water.
Depends entirely on what TYPE of mine it is. Some are open pit mines- they may look like a very deep crater with spiral lines (the haul roads for trucks) going to the bottom. But an underground mine may look like nothing but an opening in the ground, with a conveyor and ventilation fans being above ground.
Platinum was originally extracted using pneumatic drills and explosives. However, new mechanical and hybrid platinum mining methods are becoming more popular. One method consists of drilling, either with pneumatic drills or newer specialized drilling equipment, and then cleaning the ore from the mine using low-profile vehicles called LHD (load-haul-dump) machines.
Dump
14 cubic yards
It all depends on how big the truck is. For example a dump truck having two rear axles is rated and usually can transport 18 yards of dirt. 1/2-3/4 and 1 ton are rated for just that 1/2-3/4 and 1 ton.
A 1 ton truck will have the largest hauling capacity, but the half-ton truck will haul a lot and is easier on gas. The ton and half- ton refer to how much you can haul including passengers. The Dodge Ram has both the 1 ton and half-ton truck which would easily do the job.
yes
At U-Haul, the smallest truck that will hold 40 cubic yards (1,080 cubic feet) is a 24-foot truck. You will also need to check the weight capacity.
Generally, a half ton (1000 lbs)
looking to be a certfied haul truck trainer
There aren't any - that's determined by the vehicle's weight rating.
Pick-up trucks are rated by how much they can haul. A half-ton truck can safely haul 1000 pounds. ......That is incorrect I drive a Half ton that has a 10,500 tow capacity.... -It's correct, it doesn't relate to tow capacity, it relates to what you can carry in the bed, or otherwise cargo.
That depends on what type of dump truck, what type of commodity, how it is measured (by weight or by cubic yard), and the state laws regarding weight allowances. A Class 7 single axle dump truck can typically haul eight to ten cubic yards, or up to eight tons of payload. A tandem axle dump truck can typically haul 15 to 20 yards, and anywhere between 12 and 16 tons of payload, dependent on truck specifications and local laws.
A half ton in the bed and whatever the towing capacity says in the owners manual if you have a trailer. You can easily haul a car on a dolly and that car may weigh well over a ton.
