A solar eclipse is when the moon is causing a shadow on the Earth. A lunar eclipse is when the Earth is causing shadow on the moon.
Then we see full moons. If the Earth passes PRECISELY between the Sun and the Moon, then we see a lunar eclipse.
An eclipse is when three items in space are in a line. So on earth there is an eclipse when it is furthest away and then is moon and then is sun - so moon is in the middle and is blocking out the sun. If on moon there is eclipse when earth is in front of sun. Or on other planets and their moons, and so on.
Well if its a lunar eclipse with a full moon on a solctice then it is 84 years. I dont know about a reagular lunar eclipse though.
When the moon's shadow falls upon the earth this is known as a solar eclipse.
When the Earth's shadow hits the Moon that is an eclipse of the Moon. When the Moons shadow hits the earth that is an eclipse of the Sun.

The word "eclipse" means "in the shadows". In an eclipse of the sun, sun, moon and earth are all lined up, so that the moon's shadow falls on the Earth. In an eclipse of the moon, it is the shadow of the Earth that falls on the Moon.
There are 720 full moons in 60 years. Not counting Blue moons, Red moons or any other type
The moon and the solar system. When the moons blocks the sun from an Earth view, it is a solar eclipse. When the sun blocks the moon from an Earth view, it is a lunar eclipse.
A solar eclipse is when the moon becomes between earth and the sun, a lunar eclipse is when the moon is in earths shadow. They don't occur slot because the moons revolution is at a 5* angle.

Lunar Eclipse occurs when the Earth lies between the sun and the moon while solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes the earth and the moons shadow falls onto earth during the day. :D
