Micro Accounting is just one major that gets you an accounting position at a firm, they make close to 6 figures per year. You need a Masters Degree (6 years or 5 if you really work hard) and you will have a series of state tests to pass in order to get a certification. In the mean time, a company will hire you while you are studying and taking tests. The raise comes when you are certified. (this is just one road you can go down, my sis-in-law is an accountant)
