It takes about 15-16 years to become a heart surgeon. To become a heart surgeon, you will need to complete college (4 years), medical school (4 years), a residency in general surgery (5 years), and then specialized training in cardiothoracic surgery (3 years).

Well after highschool you must earn a bachelors degree, 4 years, then attend dental school, 4 more years, and spend about 2 or 3 more years becoming a specialist. The last 2 or 3 years is the difference between being a regular dentist and something specialized like an oral surgeon.
You generally have to attend school for four years to become an RN. Sometimes you can complete your coursework in three years.
Law school is not required to be a psychologist. You have to attend medical school for that.
