Physical Therapy educational programs require a Bachelor's degree. In addition to those 4 years, the graduate course work required for a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree takes about 3 years to complete.

I talked to a physical, occupational and speech therapist...and they ALL said it used to take four years of schooling, now for some reason it has been upped to 6. So...it takes six OR seven years of schooling to be any type of therapist. Unless you combine college therapist classes in with high school, then when you actually start going to college...it will take four years. Hope that helps!
