Which characteristic of living things relates to stability?

the tendency to maintain temperature, for one is consistent among every living thing. as is internal pressure relative to the external environment. your question actually refers to homeostasis, which is the property of living things to maintain a stable internal environment relative to the external environment.

How does an organism maintain a stable internal temperature what is the process called?

The maintenance of a stable internal environment is called homeostasis.

How water regulates the temperature of living things and their environment?

stable , i think ;P

Which evolutionary factors are responsible for the periods of relative stasis?

The environment, of course. A stable environment and there is no selection pressure on the organism so stasis results. ( according to punctuated equilibrium )

What is the maintenance of a stable environment called?

The process of maintaining a stable environment is called homeostasis. This process balances body temperature, fluid levels, metabolism, blood pressure, heart rate, and blood sugar.

Homeostasis provides what kind of environment?

Homeostasis provides a stable and constant kind of environment. The regulation of body temperature is an example of homeostasis in humans.

What substance is is most important for maintaining a stable thermal environment within the human body?

The most important substance for maintaining a stable thermal environment within the human body is water.Water is the most important substance for maintaining body temperature.

What is homeostasis give an example?

Homeostasis keeps an organism's internal environment stable, even if the external environment is not. Examples include temperature of the body and the amount of water in the body

Is homeostasis for keeping a free floating set of values for things like blood pressure and body temperature?

homeostasis is actually maintainence of internal environment of body, like having stable blood pressure, stable body temperature etc

Are enzymes more stable than most protein molecules found in the cell?

No- most enzymes are only stable within a certain pH, temperature, or chemical environment and will dentaure if the conditions are not right.

What homeostasis is AND Why it is important?

It is the property of a system that regulates its internal environment and tends to maintain a stable, constant condition of properties like temperature or pH.

How does a starfish keep a stable environment?

it keeps a stable environment by the sucking things on it's five points.
