We woln't have enough water for every one.
Life in the US would greatly be effected if well watered areas turned into deserts. Crops would die, people would get dehydrated, huge crisis, water would be in high demand, famine would result, locusts would start to swarm, people might even battle for water.
Probably nothing would happened except the plant would grow faster and bigger. However, if it were to be watered too much the plant could develop root rot and die. Greenhouses in my area of the desert frequently grow desert plants for sale,

it might depend on the plant. it could be over watered if watered twice, under watered if watered once or too little water with both. why don't you find out?
