The weight of freon should be listed on the "info sticker" inside the fridge door. You'll probably have to braze an access port (saddle tap) onto the low side, and vacuum out the system before charging.

This A/C sysytem holds 2 pounds of 134A
Hi Mine uses 134a Dave
They carry R-134a refrigerant. It's only Freon if it's manufactured by DuPont, who hold the trademark to the name Freon for their line of CFC and HFC refrigerants (and, incidentally, no DuPont products were listed when I checked Auto Zone's website, although they did have plenty of other brands of R-134a).
how much freon does a 2002 jeep cherokee limited hold
On the 2003 Chevy Silverado 2500, the A/C system recharge capacity (R-134a) is: 1.6 lbs.
It holds 1.32 lbs (or 21 oz) of 134a Refrigerant - when totally empty. The Denso A/C compressor holds 3 oz of PAG oil when drained off the car. Freon was the Dupont name for old Freon 12 (phased out back in 1982) and that refrigerant requires a license to buy today. So most people retro fit those older pre 1982 cars to run the new 134a.
You cannot realistically convert to R-134A . In theory you can however... you must change the A/C pump, freon lines, seals, oil, filter, basicall anything that comes into contact with the freon. In other words, the system was made to hold R-12 not R-134A. Yes they sell conversion kits but I'm sorry, it will completely destroy your system.
