It can take about 2 quarts of ATF in a Honda Del Sol. It all depends how much ATF it had to start with.
According to the service manual:
Automatic transmission = 2.9 quarts This is just what you will get out by draining the pan. For a complete flush I recommend you have this done by your Honda dealer or a reputable independent.
Also, make sure to use only Genuine Honda fluids for the transmission. Honda transmissions are very finicky when it comes to fluid (the automatics especially).
nothing but genuine Honda ATF.
Use only genuine Honda ATF Z1 fluid in your Honda. Do not let anyone use a universal or replacement fluid no matter what they tell you. If you do your transmission will not shift properly.
A 1993 Honda Civic automatic transmission holds 2.9 quarts of fluid. The factory recommendation is Honda Genuine ATF-Z1 automatic transmission fluid. An alternative is a DEXRON II (now replaced by DEXRON III).
No, absoultly not. Use only Honda ATF Z1 in your Honda. Or you can use the newer Honda ATF but nothing else.
Genuine Honda ATF which you can purchase at any Honda dealer. Warning: Do not use any other fluid as a substitute.
The recommended ATF is Dexron III (can also use Honda Genuine ATF-Z1)
ATF +4
Only Honda ATF z1 fluid don't use anything beside that
7.4 OZ atf
Honda recomends atf z1 for the 98 accord
Honda ATF Z-1 (Note Z-1 has been replaced by Honda ATF-DW1).
No!!!!! Use nothing but genuine Honda ATF-Z1 A/T fluid.
