Its not mega byte infact its gegabyte (GB) or Terabyte (TB)
The average super-computer (saying that there are many) can hold from 2 - 4 megabytes or MB for short. Megabytes literally means "A large quantity of bytes.", I wonder what they will come out with next? One can only imagine...
... you're completely wrong, here, answer #1. Lets give this a look see. Normally, super-computers or computing clusters themselves don't have large storage units. Instead, they connect to a device which then stores the data. These can range from a few hundred Terabytes, to a few thousand, or more. In comparison, your average laptop can hold roughly 1/2 a Terabyte. Personally, I have a 2 TB drive in my home server. A Megabyte is 1024^2 bytes. There are 1024 Megabytes in a Gigabyte, and 1024 Gigabytes in a Terabyte. This keeps going on and on, until your reach higher quantities such as Zettabytes.

∙ 14y agoThere is no definite description of a supercomputer. There are very large ones with huge capacities such as big blue which is updated on a regular basis. There are also secret ones used by the government, the capacity of which will never be known. A large number of ordinary computers could be deemed such when linked together as with the internet..

∙ 12y agoWell, it depends on the super copmputer you are talking about, and the type of storage. On a hard drive, a super computer may have as much as 100 times that of any computer you use. Take for example, the movie Monsters Versus Aliens, which used 100 Terabytes of storage during development.

2. What do you mean by 'capacity'?
There are lots of different supercomputers in the world, and most of them are specifically tailored to do a specific task. Capacity can refer to many different things. It could mean total processor speed, storage space, RAM, or FLOPS.

It really depends on the computer. Most modern computers now have a capacity of around 80GB through to 500GB.
