To find out how much your computer has, on a Windows OS computer: # Go to the start menu # Click on All Programs # Expand Accessories # Expand System Tools # Open System Information # Find "Installed Physical Memory" And how much memory (ram) that is installed in your computer is shown there.

∙ 11y agoThe typical computer will have between 2-16gb of ram. This number varies due to the wide selection of computers on the market. To check how much ram you have hit the start button go to computer and hit system properties. Personally I have 16 because I purchased more for gaming.

∙ 12y agoDepends on what you use your computer for. Nowadays it is good to have from 4gb RAM to 8gb RAM for a gaming computer. 2-4gb for a light-use computer. Office computers should have 4gb.
