1 month old kittens should never be on sale; they are far too young. Kittens four weeks old are only just beginning to take interest in solid food, and are usually fully weaned around six to eight weeks. During and after eight weeks, kittens start to learn how to socialise and play with other cats and humans.

Kittens should be only be on sale from when they are ten weeks old; eight weeks at the very earliest. Any earlier than that will cause the kitten to have behaviour problems when it is older and very difficult to manage and to curb such behaviour.

It's my cats first litter how many kittens can i expect?

It is impossible to know how many kittens a cat will have without a vet exam. How old is the cat? Is it indoor or outdoor only? I have seen a 6 month old kitten give birth to a single kitten and abandon it. I have seen a 1 year old cat give birth to 4 kittens. Some have as many as 11 kittens. Also some breeds have larger or smaller litters. There is a lot to consider. All this is true, but on average a cat will have 1-8 kittens in a litter.

What if your 9 month old kitten is pregnant what could happen?

At 9 months old, it is still a kitten. Kittens are still growing and developing a great deal at this age, and do not reach adulthood until after 1 year old. Just because kittens reach sexual maturity at 5-6 months, doesn't mean it is fine for them to have kittens. However, at this age, the cat is still very much a kitten and pregnancies from cats that young rarely produce a healthy litter of kittens, and poses a risk for the young cats' (and litter) health and well-being.

How many kittens do cats have in there first litter?

Domestic cats and farm cats may give birth at the end of the gestation period in almost any month. A wive's tale in the northern Midwest of the US opines that any kittens born in a month with an "r" in its name will not survive. This is probably true since those months are typically the harshest weather.

Can you touch your kittens at 1 week old?

Yes, if mama cat is comfortable witgh you, there shouldn't be a problem touching the kittens. But don't forget, 1 week old kitten haven't opened their eyes yet so they need their mother very much, so try to handle them too much.
