Uncirculated bills retail for about $3. Circulated bills are only worth face value.
The U.S. Bicentennial was in 1976.There were no Bicentennial $1 bills printed, either. There were new-design $2 bills issued that year, however. If you have one of those it's worth only face value if it's been in circulation. A crisp, unfolded one might sell for $3.
First issued in 1862 with Alexander Hamilton on front; in 1869, reissued with Gilbert Stuart's portrait of Thomas Jefferson New issue introduced in 1976, in honor of US bicentennial Last issued in 2003
Bicentennial-dated $2 bills.
yes they will issue IBOE'S
yes it can
1976 first issue $2 bills can be worth a good amount if in good condition. If it has a post mark, it is worth up to $2 more. So a 1976 first issue $2 bill could be worth $3 to $4.
The green seal indicates it's a Federal Reserve Note. The issue date is on the front and it's 1976 or later. These bills were first issued during the Bicentennial and carry an image of the signing of the Declaration of Independence on the back. The Declaration of course was signed in 1776 which is the date shown under the picture. In any case modern $2 bills aren't worth anything extra unless they're in crisp uncirculated condition.
That is interesting to know but not a question.
