In poker the chips have a value, this value indicates how much that particular chip is worth. There are "Live Casino Chips", which value is a reflection of how much money they are worth. (For instance a $5 chip is worth $5). There are also "Tournament Chips", their value is a reflection of how much a certain "Tournament Chip" is worth. Tournament chips do not have a cash value, their value is only relevant to the tournament that is being played. (For instance a 50,000 points chip is NOT worth $50,000)

Yes, they are much heavier then the average chip and are much more expensive. As a general rule with poker chips, the heavier the chip the better quality. The average casino chip probably weighs about 5 g.

All depends which casino it's from. Most likely has an image on the face of it, which will show/tell you the amount it's worth. Also poker chips can be different from the value chips you use on roulette for example; Buy-in for a poker tournament cost $100 for 5000 chips, those 5000 chips will have values like 5, 10, 25, 50, 100.. on the face, but in cash games they would have $1, $5, $25 etc. But i doubt they would let you walk away with the tournament chips anyway. But the same occasionally applies for other games I've been on, in a casino.

Decide on a decent amount (for whether it is a shorter or longer game, whether you want huge bets). Then work out how much you need in total, assign each chip a value - if they are not already there - and deal out however many chips are needed to each player. If you haven't got enough chips, then simply make sure everything is equal and go with what you have.
U pretty much have to trade it with some lucky guy who has them or other wise its nearly impossible to get it cuz i have something lyk 8 to 9 extra poker chips of almost all the colours but i still cldn't get the purple poker chip.
In a poker game you are free to fold any hand at any time. You can fold as much as you want, there is no rule saying you can only fold X times. As long as you have chips to play with, you are allowed to fold.
