About a tablespoon per half a cup of water. Baking soda works well for stains and odor which all dentures, retainers, mouth guards or expanders will have from wearing. Be sure to brush any mouth piece/denture first with a toothbrush so the baking soda can do a better job. If one tablespoon isn't strong enough increase the baking soda to two tablespoons. It's best to let them soak overnight.

Can you soak dentures in mouthwash?

Soaking your dentures in water will not ruin them. It is best to soak them when you don't wear them so they stay moist and retain their form. Not soaking them when you are not wearing them will cause them to dry out and that will ruin them.

Can you sleep with dentures?

It is much healthier for your gums to sleep without dentures. It will irritate the gums in your sleep which will result in sores on the gums. The gums need time to rest and to allow normal stimulation to maintain healthy gums. Also the dentures will collect plenty of germs in your mouth during the day, so it is good and recommended to soak them in warm water or a denture cleaner at night. Make sure to keep a routine cleaning of your dentures to insure healthy gums.

How do you remove super glue from porcelaine dentures?

Yes it is possible to remove superglue from acrylic dentures. The best way to do this is to use a combination of household products such as vegetable oil baking soda and white vinegar. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to do it: Start by mixing equal parts of white vinegar and baking soda to create a thick paste. Apply the paste to the area of the dentures where the superglue is present. Allow the paste to sit for 10 minutes. Gently rub the area with a soft cloth or paper towel. Rinse the dentures with warm water. If the glue is still present soak the dentures in a small bowl of vegetable oil for an hour. Gently scrub the area with a soft cloth or paper towel. Rinse the dentures with warm water. If the superglue still does not come off it is recommended to consult a dentist for advice.
