It really depends on hard much you work out. If you work out all time you should eat a decent of carbs. If you are more of a couch potato you should eat minimal carbohydrates.

I would think that they can eat at many carbohydrates for lunch as what is serves to them. Don't go overboard with it but just give them whatever you would normaly feed them for luch ad they should be fine.
