Basically diesel engines are much higher compression giving them more torque also the fuel is ignited by compression not a spark like in a gas engine
130
It forces air under pressure into the cylinder increasing the torque output of the engine when under a load.

A JD 6110b is a 6 cylinder diesel engine used in a variety of tractor models. It produces a high amount of torque needed to get the tractor moving with heavy loads.
Higher compression ratio, therefore it develops far more torque which equates to pulling power.
Diesel engine runs at a higher compression ratio than a gasoline engine. A typical diesel engine may also use a longer stroke and smaller bore than a gasoline engine. Diesel fuel has a higher energy density than gasoline.
A diesel engine ignites it's fuel through compression and has no spark plugs. A gasoline engine has 1 or 2 spark plugs in each cylinder that fires at a set time and ignites the fuel. A diesel engine typically has much more torque than a gasoline engine and is designed to pull a heavy load. A gasoline engine will accelerate faster than a diesel but the diesel will have much more torque and be able to pull much heavier loads. A diesel engine will last much longer than a gasoline engine as it is built much heavier. Modern diesels are fairly quiet and make almost no more noise than a gas engine especially off idle.
The head bolt torque settings, on your Kia 2.7 diesel engine, is 70 pounds per square inch. The bolts should be torqued at 35 pounds to begin with.
