If you are talking corn on the cob- Do not remove the husk. Soak in water whole for an hour. I wrap it in foil; I guess you don't have to. Throw it on the BBQ on a med low heat. The moisture in the husk steams the corn. It does take me a couple of hours this way. or If you want the BBQ flavor but want to get it faster. Boil the husked corn in water containing salt and sugar until the kernels are tender then throw it on the BBQ for just a few minutes. Make sure to rotate it. *** If you can, use hickory or mesquite wood chip. Great flavor!!

Corn is raised in rows in the Midwestern states of the US, including Nebraska, just because that's the easiest and fastest way to plant the seeds in the most efficient plant populations. Corn is usually the most productive when grown at populations of around 30,000 plants per acre and a machine called a corn planter is the most effective way to do this. The machine, which is normally pulled by a tractor, has a number of planter units spaced a certain distance from each other, each of which opens the soil a little, drops a seed into the furrow, and then closes it up again, all while traveling through the field as fast as ten miles per hour.
