Cyclone Vance was on the 22nd of March 1999 and destroyed many homes buildings and cars cyclone vance was recorded as Australia's worst cyclone.
because cyclone Tracy is so powerful it's like category 5
it depends how powerful the cyclone is if it is a very powerful cyclone then the damage could be extremely big but if its not a very powerful one then the damage would be much much less and not as many cassualtys would be made
The building codes for buildings today is much tougher then it was in the good old days.
That depends. A cyclone can be almost any large-scale, organized low-pressure system, and so is not necessarily damaging. However, a cyclone has more destructive potential, as it covers a much larger area than even the largest tornadoes. A tornado cannot cause as much damage in terms of quantity, but the damage that does occur is often far more severe.
The damage bill following Cyclone Tracy was $800 million (Australian dollars). That was in 1974 figures, so would translate to much higher figures now.
Cyclones can be a very scary part of nature. However, how much damage a cyclone can do, depends on where it touches down, and moves through. As well as, the structure of the buildings and architecture it may run into.
A cyclone. Cyclones are large scale weather systems that cover very large areas hundreds of miles across. By contrast tornadoes are much smaller, rarely over a mile wide and are much shorter lived
A tornado is potentially more dangerous because the damage is more severe, which means there is a greater potential for injury and death in a localized area. Additionally tornadoes develop much more quickly, giving less time to prepare.
i don't know you tell me people these days GOD?! you @#$% and you you ^&*()! THANK YOU?
Hurricane Ike cause about $37.6 billion in damage.
