You take damage from the attacking monsters attack points subtracted from your attacking monsters attack points. If your monsters in defence then no damage is take unless the opponents monster has a penetration effect like Flame Wing-Man.

Do you take battle damage when your Fortress Warrior is attacked by a monster with higher attack points?

You take no Battle_damagefrom battles involving this card. Once per turn, if this card would be Destroyed_by_battle, it is not Destroy. (Damage_calculationis applied normally.)no battle damage is taken. Not even if it's in attack mode. The last sentence is misleading, don't know why they wrote that down tough.

What does 'during damage calculation only' mean in Yu-Gi-Oh?

When monsters attack during the Battle Phase, there are actually multiple "steps" that take place. When a player declares an attack, you enter the "Battle Step". If no card effects are activated that would stop the attack, you enter the "Damage Step" in which face-down monsters are flipped face-up and you actually calculate how much damage is done. It's at this point that a card that reads "during damage calculation only" can be activated or takes effect. For more information on how card effects can work and activate during the Battle Phase, refer to the Related Links section below.

Does rocket warriors effect come into play before or after the battle damage?

Rocket Warrior's Effect:This effect is only active during the Battle Phase of your turn. Battle Damage to this card and this card's controller that they take from a battle involving this card becomes 0. After damage calculation, decrease the ATK of the monster that was attacked by this card by 500 points until the end of this turn.I'm assuming that you're talking about the 2nd part of the effect, in which case the answer is - after. The effect is to lower the attack of a monster after rocket warrior has attacked it and in doing so rocket warrior and his controller take no damage. If rocket warrior destroys the monster in the attack, the second effect is moot.

What is yubels effect?

This card cannot be destroyed by battle. You take no Battle Damage from battles involving this card. When this Attack Position card is attacked by your opponent's monster, before damage calculation inflict damage to your opponent equal to that monster's ATK. During your End Phase, Tribute 1 monster or destroy this card. When this card is destroyed, except by its own effect, you can Special Summon 1 "Yubel - Terror Incarnate" from your hand, Deck or Graveyard.

If you activate graverobber to take a spell card from your opponent graveyard then when you activate the spell card when is the 2000 point of damage applied?

The damage from Graverobber is applied when you activate the spell card.

When I activate the spell card using grave-robber do you know the exact timing for the damage application?

The damage application depends on the situation, if you used the spell card you got from graverobber for a cost to activate another card, you will take the 2000 points of damage before the card resolve in this situation if that cards activation is negated you do not re-gain your 2000 points of damage. If you activated the spell card you got from graverobber you take the 2000 points of damage when that spell card resolve, that is why you do not take the 2000 points of damage if that spell card got his activation negated because in that case it would not resolve. You still take the damage if only the effect of that spell card is negated because the spell card still resolve. Yugioh if you take control of a oppents monster and attack a monster stroger then it who takes the damage?

Can Heartfelt Appeal resolve before damage calculation in Yu-Gi-Oh?

It can't be used 'before' damage calculation because its activation condition is 'when you take battle damage from an opponent's direct attack'. You have to wait until after Damage Calculation, after you take the damage.

Does the card Magical Arm Shield deal damage to the opponent?

When you take control of a monster, that monster is treated no differently to one of your own. So if an opponent has two monsters, and attacks with the stronger one, you can take control of the weaker one with Magical Arm Shield. Damage Calculation will be conducted as normal, the weaker monster will be destroyed and you will take battle damage. Or you could wait until the weaker one attacks, and take control of the stronger one, which the weaker one will be forced to attack. Now it's the opponent who takes the damage.

What damage does your opponent take when a monster's effect lets it attack your opponent directly?

The damage is equal to the monster's ATK, with all bonuses and penalties applied.
