10 degrees
That completely depends on what you call "near". Parts of Trinidad's southern coast are within about 695 miles of the equator, which is a lot closer than most other places on Earth, but I would still not like to be required to walk it or swim it.
These coordinates are in the Atlantic Ocean, between the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. The nearest city is Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago.
10 North and 61 West is 8 miles Southeast off Trinidad and Tobago. It is about 8 miles in the ocean.
This point is actually not within a country's borders but within the Atlantic Ocean. There are 2 countries very close to it. Trinidad and Tobago is to the north, while Venezuela is to the south.
Yes, it is. With a low, dark horizon, the pole star, Polaris, is visible anywhere more than about 5 degrees north of the equator; on the other hand, Crux, the southern cross, is visible (at the right time of night) anywhere south of 25 degrees north latitude. Since Trinidad is about 11 degrees north latitude, it is ideally situated for such a double sighting.

Perhaps you mean Trinidad? Trinidad is an island in the country of Trinidad and Tobago. It is located in North America.
It's closer to South America, but politically the Caribbean is usually treated as part of North America, so Trinidad and Tobago is a North American country.

The "north" and "south" latitude references begin at the equator. So "20 degrees" north or south are both 20 degrees from the equator, and "10 degrees" north or south are both 10 degrees from the equator. 10 is closer to the equator than 20.
The degrees north of the equator for Turkey is between 37* and 42* north of the equator. This is a distance of 2500 miles.
Sixty degrees north is 60 degrees away from the Equator.
Trinidad and tobago is not in south America. Trinidad and tobago are in fact islands in the Caribbean. these islands are one country, a republic(1976). so it is called the republic of Trinidad and tobago. it is very near south America actually. Trinidad is just above Venezuela, and tobago is above Trinidad. culturally diverse. very unique. beautiful beaches, flora and fauna. really should visit
