The Sears Tower in Chicago, Illinois is the tallest building in North America and the third tallest building in the world. It is 110 stories high and stands at 1450 feet - 1725 feet high if you include the antennas. The tower was designed by the architectural firm Skidmore, Owings & Merrill and was completed on May 3, 1973 at a cost of more than $175 million.
