Which opera house?
50$ 50$
The Sydney Opera House, famous for its geometric roof shells, was completed in 1973, at a cost of $102 million.
it would cost 103.83 American dollars.
Large areas of the Sydney opera house are open to the public, however the halls where shows are put on normally charge entry fees.
It all depends on the company. For example, tickets for the Florida Grand Opera span from about $40-$135 as opposed to the Metropolitan Opera (since it is so prestigious) might cost you triple the amount of a minor opera house.
The Sydney Opera House's total costs were $102 million which was $95 million over the estimated cost. I do not know where the money came from although I think it may have come from the New South Wales government.
