Depends on who you contract with. I am a Foster Parent to a totally disabled lady who is MHMD who was abused in a Group Home, over medicated and neglected...NO ONE CARED. I took her into my home, threw away the meds, gave her a life. I get paid a measly 2.65 an hour/24/7 with no help of any kind. If I was in need of any type of 'help', I have to hire someone, but it would cost at least $15 per hour, minimum of 4 hours, and that is just to 'sit and watch'..no work involved. I cannot afford 'help', and I better not get sick or hurt.
