If they are youngsters they need to have their tummies kept full so it is good to feed them several times a day (like a baby anything) but to avoid poisoning their water, only feed them as much as they can eat in 15 minutes. Always remove any left over food.
Feed them twice a day, and only feed them however much they can eat in 2 or 3 minutes.
Keep in mind that, if you let them, goldfish will continue eating until they kill themselves.
one small pinch
As much as they can eat in 2 to 3 minutes. Or a small pinch.
One shake of fish flakes or two at least?
You should feed them only once as if you feed them too much, they will die because they won't eat the excessive food therefore it will rot and give the fish a disease call ICH.
If your goldfish is not very active and lives in a small bowl or something similair it doesn't need much food at all, You could feed it 2-3 pellets or a small pinch of flakes per day. If your goldfish is in a tank at least 10 Gallons(40 liters) than you can feed it twice a day for about two minutes. Feed it slow enough that it gets the food without it sinking to the bottom.
You should feed them twice daily but only as much as they will eat in 15 minutes. Any left over/uneaten food should be syphoned out of the tank immediately after feeding to prevent it from going bad in the water and poisoning the fish.
3 times brekky lunch and dinner
you should only feed it once a day unless it gets really huge (like mine did) and if it gets huge you should feed it atleast twice a day Goldfish should not be fed everyday, goldfish do not have stomaches and have a very poor digestive system....when they eat this means the food will just pass straight through and of course will leave its back end into the water. They are basically swiming around in their toilet. They may seem gutsy but they will eat and eat as much as you give them. This will then contaminate the water and may kill your fish. Goldfish can go 2 weeks without feeding.....so feeding them everyday is way to much, especially if the tank is small. Feed them every other day at the most.
Well, it depends. If the one that does not like to eat died then maybe he did not have enough food. If the one that likes to eat died then maybe he had to much food. Just suggesting.
Well....... you don't for mine (mines small) twice a day around 7:30 then at 5:00(for mine).you feed them and see if they eat :)you should feed them at least three times a daybreakfast lunch and dinner
Wouldn't recommend putting a goldfish in a 5 gallon tank-regardless of what type or size of goldfish. This is because the goldfish would be stunted causing it to have an untimely death. The condition in which a goldfish is "stunted" is where the fish adjusts to its tiny environment so much as to stop growing. The fish will stop growing on the outside but will continue to grow on the inside. Goldfish are naturally messy and create a LOT of waste. This factor would cause the tanks water to be poluted which inturn could kill not only the goldfish but possible your mollies too :(. Two mollies is enough for a five gallon tank. If you truly want to get a goldfish you will have to house the goldfish in a 10-20 gallon tank with very good filtration
I always think one looks lonely. If you have two, and are lucky your goldfish might breed Babies! Anyway a collection is much better than two because they might breed more!
Goldfish do not have stomachs which means they never feel full, this is why they constantly beg for food- they are always hungry.
