It depends. Everybody does not have the same amount of guests or come from the same ethnic group and everybody does not have the same amount of money to spend. If you come from a culture where families are big and you're having a wedding with 250 or more guests; then obviously $15,000 isn't going to cut it. Also, if whoever is contributing financially to the wedding gives the couple a large sum to spend-they may choose to spend the entire sum on the wedding.
