Mike Tomlin has agreed in principle on a four-year contract worth about $10 million to coach the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to sources close to the situation.

The Miami Dolphins signed San Diego Chargers offensive coordinator Cam Cameron to a very similar deal last week.

Although details were still being worked out, Tomlin has agreed to the key aspects of the deal. It may not be signed until Monday morning.

The Steelers, though, have already commenced planning a press conference for Monday to make the announcement.

There has been a lot of speculation over the last 24 hours on the matter.

The website for Sports Illustrated, SI.com, reported early Saturday afternoon that Tomlin had been selected the Steelers' head coach. But a source close to the situation told the Pioneer Press on Saturday that the report was "totally false," and Tomlin denied the report to ESPN.com.

Late Saturday, though, ESPN.com confirmed Sports Illustrated's report.
