How much does a Band director earn?
They make about 41,00 a year in most states.
According to recent government statistics the average salary for a management director is $180,000. However, the salary for a management director can range from $100,000 to over $300,000 depending on the company, location, and specifics of the position in which the individual holds in their business.
It depends what you mean by 'director'. Keep in mind that most of what you see on television is also filmed, and tv actually has more oppotunities for directors. And don't forget about local telelvsion where you can earn your way to director with or without a degree. But to be a major film director the best way is to earn a degree.
A marching band staff typically consists of the band director, a marching director, a woodwind instructor, a brass instructor, and separate instructors for the drumline and the pit. Depending on how much funding the band has, the woodwind instructor could be split between two people--a flute/piccolo leader and a clarinet leader. There might be several separate instructors for high and low brass.
That all depends on alot of factors. How good the band is, the venues they play, what type of music they play, how many CD's are sold, ticket sales how much is profit and much is gross, how the band spends the grossed money, and how the profits are split up, not to mention how many band members it would have to be split up by. and that's just naming a few variables.
