I have a small medium female 15 years old. She is very healthy and you can just see her ribs. Great teeth. I feed her 50 grams (2 ounces) good quality dry food, and 1/3 cup of warm rice milk and water for breakfast and 140 grams (5 ounces) for dinner. Dinner Is canned food sometimes, but mostly she has vegetables and rice or whatever we are eating as long as its not to spicey. I don't give her much onions or capsicum(peppers), chilli, and sweets are NEVER on the menu. They like vegetables. NO CHOCOLATE! Occassional uncooked chicken wings are a favorite, and a meaty bone is hers every week or 2. ALWAYS keep the water bowl full. They prefer ceramic bowl over plastic. Be disciplined. Do not over feed or let your dog get fat.

You should feel your Jack Russell terrier 1/2 cup of food per ten pounds of body weight. This is for an adult dog, puppies eat more food.

You should feed you pet at least 2 times a day. Depending on the size give it about 2 handfuls per day. 1 handful for breakfast and one for dinner
