how many Winchester Model 100's were made in the .284 caliber?
A semi auto rifle from the early 70s made in 243, 284 and 308.
Winchester model 100 (rifle) in 100% shape is worth $550.00 in the 308 caliber. Winchester model 100 (carbine) in 100% shape is worth $795.00 in 308 caliber. If you find a model 100 in the 284 caliber consider yourself lucky and buy it, dinosaur bones are easier to find.
There is no Winchester Model 77 in .284. The Model 77 is a .22 rimfire. The .284 Winchester is a centerfire cartridge made for the Models 88 and 100 in the early 1960's. It is interesting for having a relatively rare rebated rim (that's alliterative!) and continues to be popular with custom rifle makers because it offers power in a short case and action. Ruger made a few Model 77's in .284. Maybe that's what you have. Rod Smith Bethesda MD
400 dollars is very good condition in the most popular calibers. Double that for .284's
The Model 99C is not a Winchester... instead, it was made by the Savage Arms Company.

Lets start out with the fact that the Winchester model 100 semi-auto rifle was chambered in 243 Winchester,284 Winchester, and 308 Winchester only!Your serial number indicates that your rifle was made in the year 1965.These rifles range in price from 250-400 dollars, depending on overall condition and a good bore.
A Winchester model 100 in 100% shape is worth about $550.00 and in 60% shape about 230.00 you do the math for in between. A Winchester model 100 in the carbine is worth much more. $725.00 in 100% shape and 250.00 at 60% shape. Don't be fooled, some people cut the barrel off from a rifle the same size of a carbine and crown the end of the barrel and call it a carbine. A true carbine has a barrel band and no checkering on the stock. Hope this is useful. If you happen to find a model 100 in he 284 caliber consider yourself lucky they are like dinosaur bones. The Remington Model 760 was not chambered in .284 Winchester, so I am unsure what caliber you are referring to. sales@countrygunsmith.net
the 284 win caliber was introduced to the model 88 in 1963 and made until 1973.the total production for the model 88 was 284,000 units. With that said the 284 cal was the most rare! and does demand a premium.at this time I do not possess the production numbers in 284 win.caliber.
I also have a 99M in 284.They were manufactured from 1964-1972.Winchester still makes the ammo.I usually order mine through Gander Mountain.Depending on condition they sell for as much as $1200.
