Cigarettes in England cost upwards of £6.00 for a pack of 20.

Britons tend to travel abroad (for instance, to France via the Channel Tunnel) for lower-priced cigarettes, or further afield for duty-free (according to the legal allowance).

Just as anywhere else, cigarettes are always available at some online stores, but purchasing from online retailers runs the risk of being collared by customs for the import duty, or falling victim to lack of quality control, or even being sold 'fake' cigarettes (keeping in mind that returning an unfit item could be costly, and there is no guarantee that you'll ever be able to wrangle back the tax you may have paid).
