Polokwane is the capital city of Limpopo province, South Africa.
The Apartheid government created homelands - for the non-white residence to live in. These homelands was not a recognized independent state but had a couple of similarities of a state. Like a capital. The first capital was in Sibasa but was moved to Thohoyandou. Today the homelands are relaxed and the old Venda falls in the new and beautiful province, Limpopo. With the main city, Polokwane (previously Pietersburg).
