Convertibles can be purchased in a large variety of prices. It depends on the make, model, year and what extra features you get. The least expensive convertibles are the Fortwo Passion Cabriolet and the Fiat 500c. Both are made in Europe and start at less than $20,000 U.S. dollars.

The most expensive convertible is the Pagani Zonda Roadster F, priced at $781,000 U.S. dollars. Other most expensive convertibles are: Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren 722 ($545,000), Rolls-Royce Phantom Drophead Coupe ($521,000), Lamborghini Murcielago LP650-4 Roadster ($525,000) and for those who do not quite have half-a-million dollars to spend on a convertible, the Bentley Azure T is $400,000.

Of course, both the cheapest and the most expensive are the extremes. Convertibles come in all price ranges. Most are no doubt toward the lower end of the prices here, though they might be considered quite expensive to the average buyer.
