I seem to remember hearing about yearly salaries around 50k a year though. Though I can't back that up with empirical data, I can at least point out that while there doesn't seem to be two different wikipedia articles for technicians and technologists in the specific field, there are articles for technicians and technologists in general(not specifying the field)
