On the weekend take the train to NYC and then the ACES train to Atlantic city...it cost 12.50 for the train ticket to the city and then 29 dollars for the ACES train..not bad

Quite close, unusually for a big city the airport's right in the middle. It's a ten minute train ride to the city. You can get a cab and if it's in light traffic it won't cost that much.
